Hit the trail and leave the road behind at the Ninth Annual Sour Grapes Half & Half!

Race Location
The Sour Grapes Half & Half is held at the Northland Arboretum located in the heart of the lakes country in Brainerd/Baxter, Minnesota. The Northland Arboretum offers more than 540 acres of Green Space, including a Norway Pine Plantation, gardens, flower beds and over 20 Kilometers of trails.

Course Description
The half marathon and 10.55K run courses traverse the beautiful, but challenging terrain of central Minnesota. The race course is a 10.55K loop. The half marathoners will complete the loop twice. The terrain includes some uneven ground, sandy soil and moderately challenging hills.

Registration
Please see the registration page on this website. There will be no registration after close of busniness on Monday, June 7th. Note that registrations are limited to the 1st 500 adult registrants.

Awards
All adult participants will receive a t-shirt with original artwork and a unique finisher token. A short awards ceremony will follow the race. Awards will be presented to the top 3 overall male and female finishers in each race. In addition, awards will be presented to the top 3 male and female age group finishers in each race based on the following age groups: 0-15, 16-20, 21-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-60, and 61-70. All results will be posted on our website within a few days of the race.

Meal
All participants will be treated to a delicious meal following the race. Bring the family and join the fun, food and camaraderie of running enthusiasts. PLEASE REMEMBER YOU NEED TO SIGN UP AND PAY FOR FAMILY MEMBERS AND FRIENDS AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION.

Cost is a minimum of a 15.00 pledge for the Parkers Prairie Municipal Pool. $20.00 if you want a t-shirt.  Refreshments and rest stops are on the route. Saturday, August 7, 2010 Tour de Tonka  Registration 6:00-7:00 a.m.. Tour de Tonka is a bike ride, not a race.  It is a recreational ride for all ages.  There is a ride for a cause component benefiting the local food shelf.  There are 3 different ride distances.  16 mile family ride through parts of Deephaven, Minnetonka, Chanhassen, Shorewood, Excelsior and Greenwood.  38 mile ride going part way around Lake Minnetonka through the communities of Deephaven, Minnetonka, Wayzata, Navarre, Tonka Bay, Shorewood, Excelsior and Greenwood.  62 mile challenge ride encompassing all of Lake Minnetonka and the communities of Deephaven, Minnetonka, Wayzata, Navarre, Independence, Lyndale, Watertown, Waconia, Victoria, Shorewood, Excelsior and Greenwood, and a 75 mile ride.
